The latest tranche of billboards have been unveiled by the Led By Donkeys campaign – and target the prime minister as well as Leave.EU co-founder Arron Banks.
One of the campaign’s latest billboards contains a quote from Theresa May’s 2016 speech on the EU.
The message – which has been mocked up as a tweet – references her April 2016 speech at the Institute of Mechnical Engineers.
It reads: ‘I believe it is clearly in our national interest to remain a member of the European Union.’
It has been plastered on a site in Mansfield.
The group have also targeted Brexit donor Arron Banks using a series of tweets on a mobile billboard van.

One of the tweets contains his comments made on Twitter before the referendum where he claims that ‘the Norway option’ is the best for the UK. Another promotes a BBC Breaking News tweet about investigations into his funding.
Led by Donkeys have so far created more than forty billboards across the UK – including a tweet from Boris Johnson in Bristol, a tweet from Michael Gove in Romford and a quote from the former Brexit secretary Dominic Raab in Dover.
A spokesperson told The New European last month the idea came from a chat down the pub.
‘We were talking about whether Cameron would one day delete his ‘chaos with Ed Miliband’ tweet, and someone said: ‘Let’s turn it into a Tweet You Can’t Delete.’ It went from there.’
The group are now crowdfunding to raise money to increase coverage to additional poster sites.
