Just when you thought you had heard every opinion possible on the Brexit debate a new name enters the frame.
This time Eastenders actor Adam Woodyatt – better known for playing Ian Beale – has given his perspective on Brexit.
And the long-running soap opera actor is fuming about the impact it will have on Ireland.
Woodyatt was speaking to Ray D’Arcy about his new business venture, NEAT Gin, when discussions moved to the difficulty of transporting gin to Ireland.
‘If you know a stockist who’d like to have it in Ireland, please get in touch!’ said Woodyatt.

‘I’ve discovered that getting it over to Ireland isn’t as easy as you actually think,’ he continued.
‘And then, what happens – what might happen [at] the end of March,’ pondered host D’Arcy. ‘It might be impossible altogether.’

Woodyatt fumed: ‘How can they not have worked out when they sort of came up with the stupid idea in the first place of putting that question on a piece of paper…
‘You can’t just have ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for staying in! It’s a little bit more complicated than that!’
But television host D’Arcy pointed out the irony of coming to Ireland to vent about Brexit.
‘It’s your government – you tell them when you go back home!’ the host told his guest.
But an exasperated Woodyatt continued: ‘Before we even had the vote I said, ‘What are we going to do about Ireland?’ Now, if I can work that out, and I’m not a politician, why couldn’t they?!’
‘I don’t know the answer. Nobody knows the answer’ the presenter responded.
