A restaurant which promotes an anti-Brexit and pro-immigration message on its bills has received hate mail after the one went viral on social media.
Ibrahim Dogus, who owns Westminster Kitchen, added an anti-Brexit pro-immigration message to till receipts that said: ‘Brexit is bad. Immigrants make Britain great. They also cooked and served your food today.’
A photograph of the bill went viral over the weekend after it was shared on social media – but the increased promotion led to a backlash from far-right Brexiteers.
It has since been reported that the London restaurant has received threats of violence as well as hateful and negative reviews that are intended to damage the business on Tripadvisor, Google and Facebook.

Speaking to the i newspaper, Dogus said that it had been a ‘horrible few days’.
He said: ‘Our manager, Maliq Konjuhi, said that he is worried that someone will come and physically attack our premises.
‘When they call they are verbally abusive and sound very violent. Each time they call they say they want to book a table under the name of Tommy Robinson and then they start using abusive language.
The restaurant owner, however, remains defiant in the face of the intimidation.
He said: ‘I have reported to the police and an officer will be visiting us soon. We are not removing the message. The message will stay on the bills until 1 February and then we will replace with a different message.’
