With the TV news seemingly having voxpopped nearly every person on the street in Britain, ITV have found a voice that hadn’t yet been asked about Brexit.
Step forward Mr Blobby.
Television viewers were left baffled as the life-sized gammon-coloured character appeared on Loose Women and was asked questions about Brexit and treasury forecasts.
Asked about a ‘no deal’ Brexit he replied in his usual fashion: ‘Well. Blobby, blob, blobby, blob. Blob, blob, blob, blob, blob, blob.’
‘Seeing as you’re so in the know, do you think Theresa May will still be there by Christmas?’ asked Jane Moore before Blobby continued to ‘blob’ in a less than appoving manner.
‘I think that was a no as well’ interpreted Nadia Sawalha.
While some were left unimpressed by the ‘new low’ in television, others still believed he made more sense than some of the Brexiteers we have seen on our screens in recent weeks.
Others described it as ‘peak Brexit’ – having a television character from the early 90s being asked about to give an opinion that everyone seems to have a view on.
Loose Women appears to have taken inspiration for the television segment from the BBC’s political commentator Chris Mason.

Just days before Blobby’s appearance the BBC reporter went viral for saying ‘you might as well ask Mr Blobby’ when asked to explain what would happen next on Brexit.
