Brexiteer MP Nadine Dorries has circulated a message on a Tory group Whatsapp announcing that the Conservative politicians are ‘the idiots’.
Dorries was forwarding a message she had received from the chairman of her local Conservative association, who had felt a change in mood with the grassroots and public.
It warned that things were ‘not looking for 2nd May’ when local elections will be held across Britain.
The message read: ‘The mood on the doors has finally changed. After weeks of politicians being idiots, we are now seeing a change in attitude.’
But rather than positive news for the Tories, he added: ‘Conservative politicians are the idiots.’
It did, however, add: ‘Please pass on my thanks to your colleagues’.
It is not clear what the concerns of the chairman are, but Dorries’ behaviour has baffled on-lookers in recent months.
The MP compared Theresa May to Hitler, claimed there will be a transition period if the UK crashes out of the EU, and argued that the Irish border issue ‘does not exist’.
She also submitted a letter of no confidence against Theresa May, then claimed that she did not want to oust the prime minister.
