A US election turnout that is expected to be historic in size may be bad news for Donald Trump, Nigel Farage has said.
The Brexit Party leader is in Washington DC and has been on the campaign trail with Trump in recent weeks.
He told the PA news agency: “Obviously, it’s tough to judge. We’re dealing with a huge turnout, unprecedented in modern times. I have memories of the UK referendum, we had a huge turnout and Brexit won.”
Farage said this time around the huge turnout may be a sign more people are voting Democrat than in 2016.
But he added he is “optimistic” Trump will win. Farage said: “What I can say is, he has completely out-campaigned the Democrats in the last few weeks.”
