Fewer than one in five people think Labour or the Conservative Party have a clear position on Brexit, a new poll has shown.
The Brexit Party’s position was the clearest with voters – but still 41% didn’t appear to know their policy clearly.
This could be down to a lack of manifesto – which Nigel Farage refuses to publish until after the elections.
At the opposite end of the results from YouGov is Labour (with 13%) and the Conservatives (with 17%) of people thinking they have a clear position.
As for the anti-Brexit parties, the Liberal Democrats had the clearest position, with 41% of people recognising its position was clear.
A total of 34% believed the Green Party’s position was clear, and just 31% recognised Change UK’s position on Brexit.
The research suggests that even members of the two largest parties do not think their own party has clear policies.
Just 21% of Labour voters in 2017 thought Labour had clear Brexit policy, while 26% of Conservative voters said the same of the Tories.
